April R. Randall is DMOI’s Senior Legislative Advisor/FOIA Officer. Prior to joining DMOI, April served as Assistant General Counsel for the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration (ABRA). In addition to serving as legal counsel to ABRA and the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, April managed the agency’s voluminous legislative docket, including drafting regulations and legislation pertinent to the District’s Alcoholic Beverage and Medical Marijuana Programs.

She has served District Government for more than 10 years; having begun her District career with the DC Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Services Division. Prior to joining District Government, April was a Staff Attorney with the Sexual Assault Legal Institute, where she represented survivors of sexual assault in civil and criminal proceedings. She obtained her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, Baltimore, MD and a BA Degree in Economics and minor in Psychology from Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA.
